 Atiyeh Bositan® CollectionFrom the mid-19th to the early-20th century the Mohtashem Oriental rugs from Kashan were attributed to workshops dedicated to the production of the finest quality rugs. Our Mohtashem is produced from the original Mohtashem Workshop.The Farsi script reads, "Farmayehsh-e Mirza Khan Saleh Akram Karhaneh Mohtashem 1322." Which means, "Made to the order of His Excellency Mirza Saleh Karkahaneh Mohtashem, 1904 A.D.". Atiyeh International's best Chinese weavers were chosen to faithfully reproduce a classic example of a "Mohtashem" from this timeless period. These rugs are hand-knotted with 278 knots per square inch (444,800 k/m2). Available in the following sizes:
