First conceived in the late 1920s, the design was drawn by Atiyeh's multi-talented Kerman manager Georges Sermadjieff. This highly architectural rug features Moorish eight-pointed corner stars mirroring features from the Spanish Alhambra and the repeating border arches are reminiscent of the mirhab niche theme on Isphahan's ancient bridges. White and green silk highlights accent the fine details in the weave of 278 knots per square inch (284,800 k/m2).

We're introducing the Atiyeh Centennial Kerman as our family celebrates 100 years in the Oriental rug trade with the year 2000. The exquisite design and quality of the construction truly represent the high standards we've set for our rugs since the beginning.
